Why bother to vote?

The Government has confirmed a general election will be taking place on December 12th 2019. The results will have lasting consequences on the future of the UK in Europe and the rest of the world.

What’s more, British citizens living overseas have never been so impacted by the decisions that the British Government are making; decisions that will be directly affected by the result of this general election. Unfortunately, British citizens who have lived outside of the UK for more than 15 years can’t vote and the British in Europe coalition is campaigning to change this. But there are still many British overseas citizens who can vote and don’t. And that’s who we want to target. Brits in Europe ran a voter registration campaign in 2016 prior to the Referendum that pretty much doubled the number of overseas registrations to 300,000. But that is still a very small proportion of the 5 million UK citizens living overseas and so we want to at least double the number again of overseas registrations before this election, so that British citizens overseas can have some influence over a decision that will have a great influence on their lives.

The choice is yours.
